Embrace Ease Fridays

Hi Reader,

Look what I found in some of the notes that I made ~10 years ago LOL

Baby me had no idea that she'd be moving to a bigger city at the age of 18.

Anxious, confused, homesick baby me had to go out of her comfort zone...She knew she had to grow up fast. So she went far away not to study, but to make her own living so she could finally help out with the bills... and most importantly, in doing so, she can have her mom back home.

After much-needed adjustments both professionally and personally, she was able to learn the works in the BPO industry, all while also learning to live on her own. She felt good that she was earning and finally contributing to her family's expenses... she was also able to finally save up for her college tuition.

Surprisingly (a very happy one!), after a few broken relationships, she’d get married with a friend from grade school whom she'll have 2 sweet daughters with...She'd be making a home with her husband, but also unfortunately, a home that's late on rent almost every month... Needless to say, she'd thought as though life has more downs than ups, and even more convinced that her life will always feel dark and hopeless.

But for her to come out of that place, all she needed to do was this: take the baby steps.

To cut it short, baby me took wayyyy more than a few baby steps, but I'm sure she's glad—relieved even—that she took them because she'd come out stronger and braver than she and I could ever imagine. And if there's a moral to this baby girl's story, it's that:

Life will surprise you in the worst possible ways.

Don’t get stuck in your misery. Keep moving forward.

Life will surprise you in the best possible ways.

Don’t get complacent in your triumphs. Keep moving forward.

Baby me would probably drop her jaw, but would also probably work as hard had she known that she'd finally get to these brighter days: going to Disneyland with her little fam and inspiring others who yearn to succeed in this industry...

Talk about life in full circle...but in a much better, brighter place...

So, wherever you are in life, and even if at the moment you're feeling trapped, I want you to know that the smallest, tiniest step you decide to take creates a BIG difference...

It's all up to you.

Now Bingeing On

A Shop For Killers (2024) At first, I wasn't sure if I'd vibe with all the action, but the characters totally hooked me! Lee Dong-wook 🥰 is amazing as this brooding uncle with a mysterious past, and his relationship with his tech-savvy niece is like the heart of the show. It's heartwarming amidst all the grit, you know?

Travel Bits

Here are some of my travel DON'Ts for our upcoming Dubai trip:

❌ Don’t forget first aid and medicine kits!

❌ Don’t overpack your daily itinerary. If you have kids like me, keep in mind that they need enough time to rest and eat without feeling rushed.

❌ Don't forget to stay in loving calm during delays/inconveniences. You got this! 😘

Anything Goes!

Did you know that it's my first year homeschooling our 2 girls? I must say, it's NOT a walk in the park...still, I'm so grateful that I have the freedom to be this hands-on with my kids, especially at their age now... My husband and I take turns being their teachers, and the world, well, we use it as their school. 🎒 📖

Hi Reader, It's Christy again, and I just wanted to drop by and give a simple ✨thank you✨ for everything you do! I'm pretty sure, like me, you've probably been sooo relentlessly busy, too—too busy, in fact, in doing everything and giving all your best to empower others with what you do. Of course, nobody's complaining, but it is also undeniable that sometimes, everything just feels overwhelming, too. If you know me, you'd know how I'm on this constant quest to embrace ease in every aspect,...

Embrace Ease Fridays Hi Reader, This week, I want to talk about something that resonates deeply with me, both as a CEO and a mom: balance. We all juggle a million things, and in this business, the pursuit of efficiency is constant and continuous. Lately, the conversation around Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been fascinating. It's undeniably changing the business landscape, automating our tasks and streamlining a lot of processes. As a busy leader + momma, who wouldn't embrace tools that...

Embrace Ease Fridays Hi Reader, To be completely honest, I wondered if the role of a leader was truly meant for me. I didn't know I would be able to do it, let alone wing it. lol But one of the biggest blessings of the digital marketing industry is being able to partner with diverse, amazing leaders in various fields of expertise. That, and my decade-long experience ultimately gave me the courage to realize this lightbulb moment: that OMG, yes— You can definitely build your own brand of...
